Nishishinya is a member of the Instituto Cugat and looks after patients with rheumatic pain, back pain and many athletes. Committed to the patient. Responsible. Actively listening to the patient’s concerns.

Nishishinya trained in Rheumatology at the Hospital de Clínicas de Buenos Aires and the University of Buenos Aires for three years. Additionally, she completed a three-year program in Physical Education and Sports Medicine (via a residency) at the School of Physical Education and Sports Medicine at the University of Barcelona. Nishishinya also holds a Master’s Degree in Medical Acupuncture from IL3, University of Barcelona, which she completed over three years.

Education received: Master’s Degree in Clinical Effectiveness Programme (2 years), VII Interuniversity Master’s Degree in Sports Traumatology (UAB-UB) (2 years), Advanced Training in Acupuncture (1 year).

She has collaborated on several evidence-based medicine research projects, including clinical practice guidelines and systematic reviews, with the Ibero-American Cochrane Centre at Hospital Sant Pau and Santa Creu. She is an active member and collaborator of the Evidence-Based Rheumatology Research Group of the Spanish Society of Rheumatology (SER-RBE).

Additionally, she is part of a trauma service that offers a multidisciplinary approach to patients with musculoskeletal pathologies of traumatic, inflammatory, and/or degenerative origin. She offers comprehensive rheumatological diagnostic assessments for patients in various clinical situations.

By combining both specialties, she emphasises the importance of exercise as a therapeutic recommendation for patients with osteoarticular diseases. In her role as an acupuncturist, she has experience in treating patients with various conditions with excellent results.

Delivered over 70 presentations at congresses and courses. 50 publications (rheumatology, sports medicine, acupuncture and evidence-based medicine).
