As every year since 2009, the García Cugat Foundation has held the International Biomedical Research Days, with the presence of doctors, researchers and veterinarians. The goal of the Foundation is to pool the different researches to jointly advance biological therapies, as biology creates a favorable environment to repair the anatomy and regain lost function.
It is a pioneering initiative worldwide that in this edition has had 28 renowned speakers from all over the country and abroad: Japan, Canada or France. The Conferences, which have lasted two days and have been held at the Prince Felipe Research Center in Valencia, have had 200 entries, a figure that is increasing over the years.
Lectures have revolved around four blocks of biological therapies: growth factors, fat-derived stem cells, bone marrow-derived stem cells, and other therapies. In addition to the presentations, two workshops have also been held. One aimed at veterinarians interested in biological treatments and the other for doctors and healthcare to deepen the different treatments with mesenchymal cells in regenerative medicine.
