Argentine Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been operated this morning in Barcelona: “Everything went well and I will soon begin with the recovery. Thank you very much to Dr. Cugat and his team and everyone for so much support.”
Aguero, 32, retired to half-time of the match against Burnley with left knee problems. His father confirmed that he had a meniscus injury and City noted that the player would travel to Barcelona to meet with Dr. Ramón Cugat.
The question posed by the operation is whether the Argentine will be available for the second leg of the eighth round of the Champions League that will face Real Madrid with City next August. At the moment, the City does not set deadlines for Aguero’s recovery.
