DEVELOP REGENERATIVE EXPERIMENTAL THERAPY THAT IMPROVES WOUND HEALING

Catedra-fundacion-garcia-cugatThe researcher of the García Cugat-CEU Foundation Chair of Biomedical Research, Deborah Chicharro Alcántara, has developed an experimental study in which she employs a new regenerative therapy for the skin of wounds: the combination of plasma rich in growth factors and mesenchymal stem cells, from adipose tissue. The results have improved both the skin healing time of the wounds and the aesthetic appearance of the scar.

According to the academic institution in a statement, with the increase in the life expectancy of the population, the prevalence of acute and chronic skin wounds with healing problems has increased.
