A DECADE IN THE APPLICATION OF GROWTH FACTORS
It will also be an opportunity to take stock of a decade of application of Growth Factors by Dr. Ramón Cugat, founding member of the García Cugat Foundation, which will start the day.
Multidisciplinary work in this regard is essential for research in biological therapies and research in animals and research with cell cultures.
The work with osteoarthritis in dogs using growth factors and stem cells performed by Doctors José María Carrillo, of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University of Valencia and Juan Manuel Dominguez of the Faculty of Veterinary Córdoba is obtaining promising results.
The meeting will also be attended by Dr. Alexandre Tarragóof IVOT (Veterinary Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology) pioneering the use of growth factors in veterinary medicine.
Dr Ana Wang Saegusa, an expert in anti-aging medicine and Deborah Chicarro, focus their research on skin recovery with Growth Factors. Recovery times for wounds using Growth Factors are shorter.

GROWTH FACTORS… NOT ALL ARE THE SAME
PRGF, single product growth factors? is the title of Dr. Montserrat García-Balletbó, head of service, head of the laboratory of the Regenerative Medicine Unit of hospital Quirón de Barcelona, one of the researchers with more experience in obtaining Growth Factors, current President of the García Cugat Foundation.
“There is a lot of confusion right now in the use of the Growth Factors concept,” says Dr. García Balletbó, “is a generic name, but there are many types of Growth Factors and many techniques on the market to produce them. The optimal outcome of Growth Factors will vary according to the type and protocol of obtaining” and stresses the need to further investigate and above all form in this field.
Finally, Drs. Xavier Cuscó and Pedro Alvarez, members of Dr. Ramón Cugat’s team, will present their experience in the clinical part and the application of Growth Factors in traumatology.
SCIENTIFIC OUTREACH AND TRAINING THROUGH THE INTERNET AND SOCIAL NETWORKS
